The route in one sentence

Track Graminova, accept Farmer, plant six wheat plots near home, then work on crafting and requests while the timer runs.

Step 1 · Track the mentor

Use the Mentors map filter

Open the full map, choose the Mentors category and select Graminova. Track the objective before leaving home so the route and current quest remain visible.

Do not search the whole island manually
Clear any tutorial reward pop-ups first

Watch for: If Graminova is not at the shop, use Find NPC from the Social profile.

Step 2 · Accept the path

Become an Apprentice Farmer

Talk to Graminova and choose the profession option. Read the first objective completely before buying extra seeds or using the fertilizer reward.

You can hold more than one profession
Crafter should still be your first priority

Watch for: The first farming reward can include valuable fertilizer; do not spend it automatically.

Step 3 · Prepare tools

Confirm the hoe and watering can

Open the basic tools or recipe screen and make sure a hoe and watering can are available. Put both on the hotbar before clearing the field.

Keep an axe for obstacles
Leave at least two empty bag slots

Watch for: A recipe can be unlocked but still require a Worktable or processed material.

Step 4 · Collect free unlocks

Claim the Equipment Blueprint Pack

At Zerine’s General Store, check the shop tabs and claim the free equipment pack. This supports the tools and processors that farming will soon depend on.

Open the pack from the bag if required
Check the recipe list after claiming it

Watch for: Buying seeds before claiming the free pack can leave you short on early coins.

Step 5 · Buy carefully

Choose wheat by season and growth time

Read the seed panel instead of buying by appearance. For the first objective, carry six wheat seeds so one small 2×3 plot completes the route without wasting field space.

Three may be free; buy only the missing amount
Keep one spare coin reserve for tools

Watch for: Seeds that are out of season or slow-growing can stall the tracked profession objective.

Step 6 · Build the plot

Till, plant and water six plots

Clear a compact patch beside home, till six connected squares, plant wheat from the hotbar and water every planted tile once. Keep the plot close to the bed and processors.

Use a 2×3 or 1×6 layout
Do not scatter the first crop across the farm

Watch for: A dark or already-wet soil tile can make it easy to skip one square.

Step 7 · Spend perks

Check the Farmer Workpedia tier

Open Workpedia after the profession updates. Read the Apprentice Farmer perks and prioritize quality-of-life benefits that reduce repeated stamina costs.

Do not spend Starsand blindly across every tree

Watch for: Some perks require a higher profession tier even when they are visible.

Request reward notification near the coast

Step 8 · Use the waiting time

Run requests while wheat grows

The first wheat takes in-game time. Use that window for Bulletin Board requests, gathering and processor collection, then return before the day ends to check the plot.

Keep quest crops until the objective clears
Claim Stamp rewards before buying more seed

Watch for: Selling the first required wheat before the profession objective registers can force another growth cycle.
