Track Delphin from the map

1STEP 1 OF 7

Track Delphin from the map

Open the map and use the mentor or location list to track AquaBlue Outpost and Delphin. Set the route before leaving home.

The same tracking habit will save time later when a profession step sends you to a shop, outpost, or forest gate.

  • Open the map.
  • Select the relevant mentor or building.
  • Follow the tracked marker.

Do not confuse the Community Center marker shown here with AquaBlue Outpost; use the category list to select Delphin specifically.

Accept the Angler profession

2STEP 2 OF 7

Accept the Angler profession

Talk to Delphin and accept the Angler path. Read the first objective carefully: your current build may give a rod blueprint, request that you craft one, or direct you through an introductory catch.

Keep the quest tracked until the rod is in your inventory.

  • Accept the apprenticeship.
  • Read the reward icons.
  • Claim the blueprint if one is awarded.

Do not assume the rod appears automatically; check both quest rewards and your Worktable recipes.

Read the rod recipe at the Worktable

3STEP 3 OF 7

Read the rod recipe at the Worktable

If the quest asks you to craft a rod, open Worktable I and select the fishing rod. Use the in-game ingredient icons as the source of truth for your version.

Collect or process only the items the panel is currently missing, then return and craft with an open inventory slot.

  • Confirm the recipe is visible.
  • Process any required materials.
  • Craft with a free bag slot.

The exact rod materials may change during Early Access; do not follow an old ingredient list over the live panel.

Cast from a clear water edge
Image 4Stand where the water is unobstructed and wait for the catch prompt before reacting.
4STEP 4 OF 7

Cast from a clear water edge

Place the rod on your hotbar, face open water, and use the item action. Wait for the bite or catch cue instead of repeatedly recasting.

When the prompt appears, follow the on-screen timing or reeling control. The catch summary confirms the species and adds it to your bag.

  • Clear hotbar slot.
  • Stand close enough to the water.
  • Wait for the bite cue.

Casting into rocks, docks, or shallow geometry can fail even when the water looks reachable.

Keep request fish before selling
Image 5The catch card identifies the fish; reserve anything that may be needed for a request or collection.
5STEP 5 OF 7

Keep request fish before selling

Open the catch result and note the species. Keep at least one unfamiliar or hard-to-find fish until you have checked the Bulletin Board and collection tracks.

Sell duplicates first. Early coins are useful, but re-catching a weather- or location-specific fish costs more time than the sale is worth.

  • Keep one copy of new species.
  • Separate request fish from sale fish.
  • Check collections before selling.
!
Do not miss this

Selling the only copy of a requested fish can turn a quick hand-in into another full fishing trip.

Compare Bulletin Board rewards
Image 6Check required quantity, remaining time, coin reward, and bond reward before accepting.
6STEP 6 OF 7

Compare Bulletin Board rewards

At the board, read the entire request card. Accept jobs that match items already in your bag or crops and fish you can obtain before the timer ends.

The best fishing requests pay you for an activity you were already doing. Skip requests that require rare catches you have not located yet.

  • Required item and quantity.
  • Time remaining.
  • Coin and bond reward.
!
Do not miss this

A high reward is not good if the timer forces you to abandon your current route.

Use fishing inside the daily money loop
Image 7Fish during crop growth, machine processing, and travel gaps rather than treating it as a separate grind.
7STEP 7 OF 7

Use fishing inside the daily money loop

The efficient pattern is simple: water crops, start machines, run requests, then fish while timers progress. Return to town with a mixed bag of request items and sale duplicates.

This keeps every hour producing progress in more than one system.

  • Crops growing.
  • Machines processing.
  • Fishing fills the waiting time.
!
Do not miss this

Do not fish until your bag is completely full; leave room for quest rewards and rare catches.

Guide note

Mentor locations and profession structure were checked against contemporary starter guides. The guide deliberately tells players to follow the live Worktable panel for rod materials because Early Access recipes may change.
